ABOUT
Many of our locals choose the I.O.O.F. Cemetery as their final resting place. During Memorial Day, we place many flags up along our main drive and celebrate our loved ones with the respect and honor they deserve. We have recently updated our standard protocol in cemetery decoration.
1. All Cut Flowers, Artificial Flowers, and other decorations placed on any gravesite of niche shall be the subject of removal from the cemetery at the discretion of the board of trustees and the groundskeeper. Most flowers and decorations will be picked up within three working days if not placed in inground vase.
2. No glass, metal, or breakable items allowed. Too many are being broken and causes a hazard for both the visitors and the groundskeeper. No artificial flowers during mowing season: April 1 - October 1. The exception if for Memorial Day
3. Fresh flowers are allowed to be placed in inground vases and temporary vases. Temporary vases may be available through the office.
4. Wreaths and other decorations are allowed to be placed on top of markers but cannot be attached by wire or other material. Nothing is to be placed upon the grass.
5. Private planting of shrubs, flowers, or trees are not allowed.
6. Do not leave ashes of any kind on the markers.
