Information and Rules Odd Fellows Cemetery
Rules and Information
The Odd Fellows Cemetery would like to thank you for your constant help in keeping the grounds looking so nice all year. The flowers and holiday decorations you place add an array of color and beauty to these peaceful and sacred grounds. The following set of rules are put into place and strictly enforced to ensure number one, the safety of all visitors and our employees, and number two, proper repair and maintenance can be obtained. All cut flowers, artificial flowers, potted plants and other decorations placed on any gravesite or niche shall be subject to the removal from the Cemetery at the discretion of the Board of Trustees and the Head Grounds Keeper. Most flowers and decorations will be picked up within three working days if not placed in an in ground vase. No glass or breakable items are allowed around or on the headstones/markers. These will be picked up and placed at the shop for you to pick up. Too many are being broken and causes a hazard for visitors and the grounds keepers. We do not have the time it takes to continually clean up the mess this causes when they get broke, nor do we want anyone to get hurt by the broken items.
Flowers and Decorations Allowed Fresh and artificial flowers are allowed to be placed in the in ground vases and the temporary vases. Temporary vases are available through the office. Potted plants, wreaths and other decorations are allowed to be placed on top of the markers but cannot be attached with wire or any other material. Nothing is to be placed on the grass in front of or behind the head stone or marker.
Private planting of flowers, shrubs and trees are not permitted without written approval from the Board of Trustees. Nor is there to be anything hung or attached to/in the trees, bushes or shrubs without written approval from the Board of Trustees.
Nothing is to left on top of, or attached to any Columbaria without written permission by the Board of Trustees.
Additional Marker Decorations/Items Not Allowed Metal wire of any kind – nothing to be wired onto headstone/marker. Breakable items (statues, vases, urns, knick-knacks). Cremains, other than those legally interred, of any kind, in any containers. Anything that is too large to fit and stay on the base around the headstone or that would impede mowing. For written approval, please address the Board of Trustees at: Cemetery Board C/O Lebanon Odd Fellow Lodge #47 20 East Ash Lebanon OR 97355
